In early June, the small island city of Wilton Manors, Florida will draw up to fifty thousand visitors to honor the Stonewall Riots of June 28, 1969, with the annual Stonewall Festival and Parade. For local shops and restaurants, it’s a great opportunity to drive new revenue. With ChowBOT, a new online ordering and delivery app built for restaurants on the Clover POS, traditional brick and mortar businesses can easily expand beyond their four walls and take advantage of new sales opportunities.
For the festival, Pink Sub is essentially doubling its storefront by allowing people to pick up their orders at the shop or from a second location within the festival. Because ChowBOT manages the entire process, customers are notified via text message when orders are ready for pickup, thus allowing customers the freedom to explore the festivities while their orders are being prepared.
Pink Sub discovered ChowBOT after moving to the Clover POS and visiting the app marketplace. Dawn Holloway, the owner, says “ChowBOT was an exciting discovery for the team because it allows our customers to order via mobile and desktop. The fact that orders go directly to the kitchen printer means that online orders can be seamlessly integrated into the workflow of the store, without the need for people to answer the phone or respond to a fax. For the first time, we will be able to service festival goers, thanks to ChowBOT, which will be a big revenue driver for us.”
ChowBOT looks forward to bringing you an update on how Pink Sub tackles going beyond pick up orders to delivery order service.
